Description:
OC-9500 Dust monitoring system with beta ray adopts the working principle of beta ray attenuation to automatically measure and record airborne particulate concentration. The C14 emits a constant source of high-energy electrons (known as beta rays) through a spot of clean filter tape. These beta rays are detected and counted by a sensitive scintillation detector determine a zero reading. The OC-9500 system automatically advances this spot of tape to the sample nozzle, where the vacuum pump will pull the measured and controlled amount of dust-loaded air through the filter tape. Then the dirty spot will be placed back between the beta source and the detector, so causing an attenuation of the beta ray signal, which is used to assure the mass of the particulate matter on the filter tape.
According to the sampling flow, sampling time, filter membrane area and environmental parameters, the working condition concentration and standard condition concentration of particulate matter in ambient air are calculated to realize the automatic monitoring of ambient air particulate matter.
