The difference between the diffusion and pump suction

Gas detector sampling methods, the common are: diffusion and pump suction. So, how does diffusion work? Pump suction is how to sample it?

Today Oceanus will introduce the difference between the diffusion and pump suction.

I, Diffusion:

Working principle: relying on natural air convection, the gas sample into the air chamber for testing.

Disadvantage 1: only detect the gas around the instrument, you can measure the scope of the gas, size, depending on the ambient temperature, wind direction, the distribution of various gases. Installation requirements: the position of the probe is very close to the detection point.

Disadvantage 2: detection limits are limited in small areas, can not be remote sampling, can only be installed near the detection point, if the suction pump (increasing the way the pump), but also limited to the opening part of the sampling tube.

II, Pump suction:

Working principle: there are two ways to use sampling, 1, one in front of "push", 2, one is in the back "suction", 3, there is an integrated design, that is, when the instrument is opened, the pump began to work.

Advantages: long distance sampling, the general instrument of the sampling pump has the ability to absorb horizontal.

Disadvantages: pumps work continuously, the power consumption is fast, with a longer sampling tube, but also consider the leakage problem, once the leakage, easy to inhale other gases, the detected gas components will be diluted or replaced.
