Fixed gas monitor should be installed and connected other equipments, so, usually many factors need to be taken into account. Here our engineer summarize some important knowledge for the installation, hope this will be workable for our customers.

The basic principle of the fixed gas detection installation: 1. The mounted position could monitor the every corner of the scene or the any dangerous area; 2. The monitor system could alarm by the visul, audible, etc, also could find the gas leakage source, then personnel could take the following measures: a. Evacuation personnel in the dangerous field, b. Removing the gas leak source, c. Cutting off the power of the workshop or the equipments, d. Turnning on the ventilation system. The gas detector should fixed near the dangerous source. The measurement will be affected by the wind, so should collect the gas singal widely.

Usually the installation position height is very important.

If the gas density smaller than the normal air, the position should be above the leakage source; if the gas density bigger than the air, then need to mounted on the ground, or in the tunnel and geosynclines; if the gas density similar with the air, it will flow with the air, then the installation position should near the working personnel area. But, also existing the special gas. Such as the CO2, under the normal pressure, the density smaller than the air, if released into the air, the temperature will down, this will lead the density rising. When detecting the hypoxia, because the oxygen density smaller than air, then need considering the replacement problem. For example, N2 displace the O2, then the oxygen in the air will be used up, now the installation position will not be the important factor. Meanwhile, the installation position also should not too low and protect from the rain, dust. If can’t avoid water and dust, should add the cap.

About the detecting area of each gas detector,  usually about the 10~20 ㎡, so the quantity of the gas monitor should be according to the specific area.
