The combustible gas detector is a detector that responds to a single or multiple combustible gas concentrations. And it has two types: catalytic and infrared optical. The catalytic combustible gas detector is used to measure the combustible gas concentration by the resistance variation of refractory platinum wire after heating. When the combustible gas enters the detector, oxidation reaction on the surface of platinum wire (non-flame combustion), the heat generated increases the temperature of the platinum wire, then the resistivity of the platinum wire will change.
